We told you we did things differently. From Jack Yan, founder and publisher:
I wish to grow Lucire into a global presence. The web site
will have a CMS that will manage global content. This opens the door to
print editions beyond our initial countries of New Zealand, Romania and
Moldavia, territories that are already taken.
Discussions are pending for the Gulf Coast states,
but one of our great opportunities is North America, still taking the
lions share of visitors on the web site.
I am prepared to put our content to the test.
Ill send a PDF of the most recent issue in low-resolution to any
publisher, in any of our untapped territories, wishing to see what were
on about. On your end, you need to show me that you are capable of getting
the magazine to market, financially and culturally.
If youre publishing in a non-English language,
Ill even go so far as to let you access the work files so you can
replace our text with a translated versionat your cost, of course.
But if it researches well, then Ill expect
a fair deal with you of a licence and royalty share, at a rate we both
find acceptable.
Because we are an independent publisher, and because
of the open, transparent nature of New Zealand businesses, you wont
find a more flexible and low-risk way of getting one of the worlds
best fashion titles to market. And well back up your local content
on our new web site, and support you with whatever we can do from our
existing territories.
And were interested in going further than that
with the Lucire brand. Mums the word. For now.
Contact us for information
on getting to the next stage.
